“Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. I’m black, OK?” the woman said, declining to be identified because she anticipated backlash due to her race. She leaned in to look a reporter directly in the eyes. “There were black boys robbing houses in this neighborhood,” she said. “That’s why George was suspicious of Trayvon Martin.“
At least eight burglaries were reported within Twin Lakes in the 14 months prior to the Trayvon Martin shooting, according to the Sanford Police Department. Yet in a series of interviews, Twin Lakes residents said dozens of reports of attempted break-ins and would-be burglars casing homes had created an atmosphere of growing fear in the neighborhood.
In several of the incidents, witnesses identified the suspects to police as young black men. Twin Lakes is about 50 percent white, with an African-American and Hispanic population of about 20 percent each, roughly similar to the surrounding city of Sanford, according to U.S. Census data.
Was Slavery New to Africa?
Africans had been traded as slaves for centuries — reaching Europe via the Islamic-run, trans-Saharan, trade routes. Slaves obtained from the Muslim dominated North African coast however proved to be too well educated to be trusted and had a tendency to rebellion.
Slavery was also a traditional part of African society — various states and kingdoms in Africa operated one or more of the following: chattel slavery, debt bondage, forced labor, and serfdom. See Types of Slavery in Africa for more on this topic.

The risk is that Obama could have made a real hash of things with where he cut spending, but America survived a month long budget shutdown under President Clinton and we would have survived this also.

Human Events/Gun & Patriots via my email. In the CrosshairsMike Piccione, EditorHey Gunners,
Yesterday we had a live conversation on the Guns & Patriots Facebook fan page with David Freddoso. David is the author of “Gangster Government: Barack Obama and the New Washington Thugocracy.” Do you know what happened? Facebook stopped David’s access to the Guns & Patriots fan page. It seems the author is banned from discussing his book on Obama and a corrupt government with us. Thanks Big Brother, but you can’t stop people from buying the book.
Richard Johnson gives us his “Katrina Guns” and what guns he likes when a hit-the-fan scenario happens. A few days ago I was at the Headquarters of the United States Concealed Carry Association with Tim Schmidt and Pat Kilchermann and told them about the article. Tim’s hit-the-fan handgun is a Glock 21 and Pat’s is a Glock 19. I had a great day at the USCCA and at one point we talked for 14 hours straight. Yep, Tim and I can fill some airspace. There was only one quiet time in two days. It was when I told Tim and Pat I have never fired a Glock. You should have seen the look on their faces. I thought they were going to take my man-card right then and there. Then I asked a friend of mine, Lara Connor who happens to be a former US Navy Rear Admiral and is now a Generalmajoren in the Swedish Air Force Special Forces and she replied “Glock 18 – select-fire model. Early version with extended barrel and integral compensator and a fire mode selector switch on the slide.”
Stay loaded my friends,
