Nahh, neighborhood to ordinary. Can you imagine Richard Trumka OR Andy Stern in this neighborhood? Their golf clubs cost more than this whole place, thanks to those union dues people pay..

Police to search Michigan driveway for labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa

The FBI had no immediate comment on the new effort in Roseville. Andrew Arena, who recently retired as head of the FBI in Michigan, told Detroit TV station WDIV that all leads must be followed, but he would be surprised if Hoffa is buried there.

Geez, I’m in Huntsville, AL. We have to sit and listen to the Gatlinburg weather report most every night even when you know you just are not going.

I think we are writing a novel here.

Apologize for the delay. East Tennessee, Gatlinburg specifically.

Maybe just maybe, this young coupled..umm COUPLE, were sitting on top of Brent’s still. Could be the reason for the unfortunate/fortunate firing. I did not inquire. I can hold my own, except a whole damn county.

Funny story. I suppose young folk used the Pollard pasture on the other side of the road for such things…our land too, but I guess Daddy just watched and laughed. He was more into stills and where they were located.

Really? Knew the Carter folks in and about Louisville. Me, with a nicely done olive oil complexion, got along fine with them thar folks, as long as I was around Brent Carter. LOL. Of course, damn near all of Winston Co. was at the time, Carter.

Old Brent didn’t really like anyone on his land (about the same acreage as you mentioned in your post, give or take). In his ‘ride of territory’ one evening, he discovered a young couple doin’…umm, jus’ kinda relaxing on it. Brent, a man of few words, just blew A LARGE ASS HOLE at the tail end of their vehicle. Daddies, ask the local gent d’armes to arrest Brent. First the locals they asked WERE, Carter’s. Secondly, we ain’t gonna’ do a damn thing TO, Brent. Thirdly, keep your young’ens the hell away from Brent’s land!

    Yep…Sallis…about 23 miles from Kosciusko.
North Carolina? West VA? Maggie Valley?
MS folk always seem to find each other and are suspicious if you are not one of us πŸ™‚

Kosciusko, or thereabouts eh? Reside in ohh about 200 yards from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park boundary. Scads of MS. folks visiting, but not a whole hell from Winston nor Neshoba Counties.

Usually stun them when I ask..”howz’ things in Noxapater”? I get the old, HUH? πŸ™‚

Certainly I know where Noxapater is located. I went to school with folk from there. In Mississippi everybody knows everybody or who their mama was or their great somebody or other. I grew up in Attala County.

Well, I do Linda. Didn’t want to be, uhh, forward. Must be those Sicilian genes. My parents would have thrashed me. LOL.

BTW, if I recall Mississippi is in your background, soooo, do you know where Noxapater, MS. is? Had some friends that lived in the area.

  18. #18 by purpleborough on September 27, 2012 - 8:15 AM

I am Linda, in case you wanted to know.

Hoffa probably had that very thought, just before the final kiss. πŸ˜‰

Excuse my manners please..And a fine good morning to you, Ms. Purple..
